I had a few commissions in 2010, which along with preparing the 40th anniversary edition of the Canadian Rockies Trail Guide, kept me busy work-wise. Updates for Moon British Columbia and Moon Vancouver and Victoria were both fairly straightforward. With two children reaching school age, plenty of time was spent of the road, with the family and a laptop. We all spent a week in the Okanagan, a week on Vancouver Island, and a few days in Whistler, while I also made solo trips to Vancouver and through central British Columbia.
The cover photo used for Moon British Columbia was shot at Mount Robson Lodge. It had been a long, rainy day on the road and I was writing up notes in my cabin when I glanced out and saw a magnificent rainbow, which, when I walked up to the front of the property, perfectly framed an old red truck.
